ORDER

This Writ of Mandamus has been filed, seeking a direction to the second respondent to promote the petitioner as B.T.Assistant/Warden, considering the representation dated 14.09.2016.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.The petitioner was appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher in the school run by the Adi Dravidar Welfare Department on 05.10.1990, on the basis of the employment seniority. The https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

qualification for the said post of Secondary Grade Teacher is Diploma in Teachers Education. While in service, the petitioner completed B.A., B.Ed., and therefore he is eligible to get appointment as a Graduate Teacher (Tamil Pandit). Seeking promotion to the post of B.T.Assistant, the petitioner sent a representation dated 12.09.2016 to the respondents. As the representation is not considered, this Writ Petition has been filed.

4.It is agreeable for the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.Accordingly, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.09.2016 and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.The Writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
