O R D E R
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the learned Additional District and Sessions Judge, Dindigul to expedite the Criminal Appeal proceedings in C.A.No.53 of 2019. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the marriage between the petitioner and the second respondent was solemnized on 24.04.1994. Due to some misunderstanding, the second respondent has foisted a false case against the petitioner. Even though, the trial Court acquitted the petitioner from the case, the second respondent/petitioner's wife filed an appeal before the learned Additional District Judge, Dindigul in C.A.No.53 of 2019. Thereafter, there is no progress in the appeal. Hence, the petitioner filed this petition.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent would submit that the petitioner was acquitted by the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Dindigul, in C.C.No.207 of 2012, on 03.01.2018. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.14027 of 2020 herein preferred an appeal in C.A.No.53 of 2019 and the same is pending before the learned Additional District Judge, Dindigul and the next hearing date is 17.12.2020.
4.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel on either side and since it is a matrimonial dispute, the learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, Dindigul is directed to complete the proceedings in C.A.No.53 of 2019, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
