ORDER
The petitioner with an allegation that the orders of this Court in CRL.OP.(MD)No.7258 of 2025 dated 22.04.2025 has not been complied with, has filed this contempt petition.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed the above said petition to quash the first information report in Cr.No.66 of 2025. This Court while entertaining the above said petition, granted an order of interim stay to take cognizance based on the final report filed by the respondent Police. He further submits that the petitioner has received summons from the learned III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Tirunelveli in S.C.No.75 of 2025 by taking cognizance of the final report filed by the respondent Police and therefore, the petitioner filed the present contempt petition. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submits that the final report has been filed before the concerned Court on 28.04.2025 and the order of this Court dated 22.04.2025, was received by the respondent Police only on 30.05.2025. 2/5

4.This Court has considered the submissions made on either side. 5.This Court while entertaining the criminal original petition has granted an interim order. However, it appears that it has not been properly communicated to the respondent Police. The respondent Police has also filed the final report. Therefore, it is open to the petitioner to challenge the final report, in accordance with law. This Court is not inclined to initiate contempt proceedings as against the respondent Police, when they have not served with a copy of the order of this Court.
