2. The petitioner is in occupation of the premises belonging to the local body.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader states that the petitioner is squatting on the property without paying any enhanced rental. It is further submitted that in view of the implementation of the new Act (Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act), the question of renewal does not arise at all.
