The writ petition has been filed for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.09.2016 within a stipulated period.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that alleging some discrepancy in the Patta issued to the petitioner, he made a representation to the District Collector, on 19.09.2016. But, so far no order has been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that if at all any discrepancy in the Patta issued, the Revenue Divisional Officer is the competent authority and the petitioner did not approach the competent authority viz., R.D.O. and he has filed an application before the District Collector.

4. In the above circumstances, the petitioner is directed to file an application before the concerned R.D.O. and on such application being made, the RDO is directed to consider the application and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law.

5. with the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
