ORDER

The writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 19.09.2016 in accordance with law within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

According to the petitioner, against the order passed by the second respondent/District Registrar, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent/Inspector General of Registration on 19.09.2016 and sofar, the appeal is not taken up for hearing and pending with the first respondent. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

Mr.N.S.Karthikeyan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the petitioner's appeal would be disposed of by the first respondent within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 4.Since the petitioner filed an appeal and it is pending before the first respondent, the first respondent/Inspector General of Registration, is directed to consider the petitioner's appeal, dated 19.09.2016 and pass orders, after hearing the petitioner, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
