ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 24.04.2024.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.R.Narayanan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Raguvaran Gopalan, learned Standing Counsel, who takes notice for the respondent.

3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4.According to the petitioner, he sought certain informations regarding Gundaru River Junction Project by filing an application before the Public Information Officer. Since no proper reply was not given to the petitioner, he said to have filed a first appeal before the competent authority. According to the petitioner, he has not received any information from the appellate authority. Therefore, he filed further appeal before the respondent on 24.04.2024 and the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court.

5. The learned Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that the second appeal filed by the petitioner will be considered on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court.

6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the second appeal preferred by the petitioner dated 24.04.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
