This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent Police, to file final report in connection with Crime No.14 of 2017, dated 13.12.2017, on the file of the second respondent

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that based on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.14 of 2017 has been registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498 (A) and 406 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961, by the second respondent police. Despite registration of the First Information Report, the second respondent police has not taken any action on the said complaint. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the investigation in the case in Crime No.14 of 2017 has been completed and final report https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/4

Crl.O.P.(MD).No.11246 of 2019 has also been filed before the learned Additional Mahila Judge, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District and the same is pending in C.C.No.386 of 2018.

4. Since the investigation in this case has been completed and final report has been filed before the concerned Magistrate and the same is pending in C.C.No.386 of 2018, at this stage, the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
