ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2. Since no order prejudicial to the interest of the respondents 3 and 4 is going to be passed, notice to them is dispensed with.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. According to the petitioner, originally the land in Survey No.60/1 measuring to an extent of 3 acres and 90 cents situated at Vellayakonpatti Revenue Village, Marungapuri Taluk, Trichirapalli District, stood in the name of his father, subsequently, he executed a gift deed in favour of the petitioner's mother and after her death, the petitioner is the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

absolute owner of the property. Now, patta has been wrongly transferred to the wife and son of the brother of the petitioner's father. Therefore, to rectify the said mistake, he made a representation before the second respondent/Tahsildar on 03.10.2016, to issue patta in the name of the petitioner. Since no order has been passed so far, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

In view of the fact that the petitioner's representation, dated 03.10.2016, is pending with the second respondent without any disposal, the second respondent is directed to consider the said representation and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the persons, in whose name earlier patta has been transferred.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
