The petitioner is before this Court seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2026.

2.In the said representation, the petitioner has requested the respondent to issue a Legal Heir Certificate in favour of herself, her mother, her sisters, and the daughter of the second wife of the deceased, Chinnaiyan, who died on 12.07.2013.

3.It is stated that the Legal Heir Certificate earlier issued, which included the name of the second wife of the deceased Chinnaiyan, was set aside by this Court. Pursuant thereto, the petitioner submitted the aforesaid representation seeking the relief stated above. 4.Mr. R. Ramasamy, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2026 would be considered and disposed of by the respondent on its own merits within such time as may be stipulated by this Court. The said submission is placed on record. 5.In view of the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim, this Court is inclined to direct the competent authority to consider the request of the petitioner in 2/4

a time-bound manner.

6.Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 07.04.2026 on its own merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, after affording an opportunity of hearing to all parties concerned.

7.The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 8.There shall be no order as to costs.
