ORDER

The petitioner seeks a direction for the transfer of the electricity service connection No.134-002-80 from his father's name to his name.

2.The petitioner states that his father executed a gift settlement deed in his favour on 20.05.2020 in respect of the property bearing old Survey No.79/4, new Survey No.79/4B1 admeasuring an extent of 0.78.50 Ares. Pursuant thereto, it is stated that the revenue records were mutated in his name. Accordingly, he applied for a transfer of the electricity service connection standing in his father's name to his name. The present Writ Petition is filed on account of the alleged failure of the respondent to act thereon.

3.Mrs.M.Rajeswari, learned counsel appearing for Mr.S.M.S.Johny Basha, learned Standing Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the sole respondent. On instructions, she submits that the petitioner is required to submit the relevant application through the online mode. If an application for transfer is filed in the online mode, she states that the same would be considered and disposed of in accordance with applicable regulations in such regard. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P(MD)No.17179 of 2021 4.Accordingly, without going into the merits of the matter, the petitioner is permitted to submit an online application as required by the respondent within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt thereof, the respondent is directed to consider such application in accordance with applicable regulations in such regard and dispose of the same within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt thereof. 5.W.P.(MD).No.17179 of 2021 is disposed of on these terms without any order as to costs.
