ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members by considering his representation dated 10.11.2020. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner reiterated the contentions raised in the affidavit.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the official respondents would state that petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2020 will be considered and disposed of by the respondents 1 to 4, within a time frame. 4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4. Since no adverse order is going to be passed, notice to respondents 5 to 10 is not necessary. 5.Recording the above submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side), without going into the merits of the case, the respondent police are directed to consider and dispose of on the petitioner's representation dated 10.11.2020 after giving opportunity to the respondents 5 to 12 by following the principles laid down by the Hon'ble Apex Court in D.K.

Basu Vs. State of West Bengal reported in AIR (1997) SC 610 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
