Crl.O.P.(MD)Nos.14189 and 14195 of 2021 COMMON ORDER These Criminal Original Petitions have been filed for quashing the FIRs in Crime Nos.353 of 2016 and 130 of 2018 registered on the file of the first respondent.

2. The defacto complainant is both the cases is K. The defacto complainant is present in person before this Court. She has been duly identified by Thiru.S.Singaraj, SI of Police attached to Othakadai Police Station, Madurai. The first petitioner and the defacto complainant got married and later their marriage was dissolved based on the mutual consent. It is also stated that she does not want to pursue the cases. A joint compromise memo was also executed. Since the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement, no purpose will be served in keeping the impugned prosecution alive. The impugned FIRs are quashed. The Criminal Original Petitions are allowed.
