ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to take necessary action based on petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2026 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had lodged a complaint alleging that the proposed accused had defrauded her of a sum of Rs.26,55,792/-. Earlier, a complaint in this regard was made before the respondent police. Pursuant thereto, an enquiry was conducted, during which the proposed accused gave a written undertaking assuring that the amount would be settled within a period of two weeks. Based on such assurance, the complaint was closed. However, despite the lapse of considerable time, the amount has not been repaid or settled. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a fresh representation dated 01.06.2026 before the respondent police seeking appropriate action. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the present petition has been filed. 2/4

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2026 is under consideration and that the same would be duly enquired into and disposed of on merits, in accordance with law, within a period of one week.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials before this Court.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, the third respondent police is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 01.06.2026 and conduct an enquiry in this regard, after issuing summons to the parties concerned, under Section 64 of the BNSS, and conclude the same, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
