ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to dispose of her appeal dated 29.04.2022 and subsequent representation dated 30.05.2025, seeking correction in the revenue records.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.P.Ponraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

4. According to the petitioner, 56 cents of land in Survey No. 147/8, in Alagapuri Village, Thiruvengadam Taluk, Thenkasi District, originally stood in the name of the petitioner's paternal grand-father, viz.,

Santhanam and his siblings. Now, the above said survey number is subdivided and patta issued in the name of various persons, without the knowledge of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation before the first respondent on 29.04.2022 and thereafter, on 30.05.2025, seeking restoration of patta in the name of Santhanam and others and the same have not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court.

5. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the appeal filed by the petitioner will be considered by the first respondent on its own merits.

6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 30.05.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties, in whose favour patta stands as on today.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
