ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A1, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offence punishable under Sections (**)294(b), 342 and 498(A) IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 in (*)Crime No.25 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that due to matrimonial dispute between the husband and wife, the petitioner along with other accused harassed the de-facto complainant by demanding additional dowry. Hence, the complaint.

CRL OP(MD). No.14169 of 2022 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for anticipatory bail. 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) would submit that the marriage between the de-facto complainant and the petitioner was solemnized on 23.11.2017 and after marriage, she was subjected to cruelty by the petitioner by demanding additional dowry. Hence, she strongly opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.The learned counsel for the intervenor vehemently opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6.Considering the seriousness and gravity of the offence and also considering the conduct of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
