O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to expedite the investigation and to file the final report in Crime No. 145 of 2022.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the FIR was registered in the year 2022. However, there is no progress in the investigation.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that the matter is under investigation. 4.It is not known why the respondent police is keeping the case in Crime No.145 of 2022, still pending for the past two years. Since it appears that the respondent is not conducting investigation in a proper manner, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Madurai District is directed to withdraw the case from the file of the second respondent and entrust the same with some other investigation officer. The new investigation officer 2/4

shall ensure that the final report is filed preferably within four months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
