PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying this Court to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection for the life and limb of the petitioner, the members of Paal Kavadi Madam and the devotees come over there based on the complaint dated 20.05.2022. ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection for the life and limb of the petitioner, the members of Paal Kavadi Madam and the devotees come over there based on the complaint dated 20.05.2022. 2.The learned Counsel appearing for the fourth respondent submitted that based on the petitioner's complaint, the respondent police conducted 2/5

enquiry. At that time, relevant documents were produced before the respondent police to show that the private respondents are in possession and they have title over the property. After enquiry, the respondent police found that the private respondents are in possession. Apart from that, the alleged order passed by the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer is challenged by the private respondents by filing a petition in W.P.No.17849 of 2022, which is pending before the Madras High Court. Further, he objected to provide police protection.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that based on the petitioner's complaint, the respondent police conducted enquiry and found that the private respondents are having documents to legalise their possession. Since with regard to the order passed by the concerned Revenue Divisional Officer, a petition in W.PNo.17879/2022 is pending before the Madras High Court, the petitioner's complaint was closed. 4.I have considered the submissions made by the counsels appearing for the parties.

5.In view of the above submissions, this Court is of the opinion that this petition is not maintainable. Therefore, this criminal original petition stands closed.
