ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by V.RAMASUBRAMANIAN,J.) The petitioner who holds a community certificate to the effect that he belongs to the Hindu sambavar community recognised as a scheduled caste in Tamil Nadu has come up with the above writ petition seeking a mandamus to direct the respondents to grant similar certificate for his son and daughter.

2.Heard Mr.S.S.Thesigan, learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.M.Alagadevan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

3.The Revenue Divisional Officer by his proceedings in O.Mu.A6/5774/2010, dated 25.07.2011 has already directed the Tahsildar, Thovalai, to take action on the representation of the petitioner. But so https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ far nothing has happened. The further representations have also not evoked any response.

4.In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to process the application of the petitioner for the issue of community certificate to his son and daughter, conduct an enquiry in accordance with law and pass orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
