ORDER

The prayer of the petitioner is to consider its request made under Section 87(b) of the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Act, 1998, to grant exemption of property tax by treating the petitioner Madam as such charitable religious institution.

2.The learned counsel took notice on behalf of the respondent Municipality would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be taken up for consideration and orders in accordance with the law will be passed if adequate time is granted.

3.In view thereof, this writ petition is ordered on the following terms: (i)Application of the petitioner dated 05.03.2026 shall be taken up for consideration by the respondent, due notice and opportunity of hearing shall also be given to the petitioner, final orders in accordance with law shall be passed, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order. (ii)No costs.
