This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to grant upgradation of academic pay from Rs.7000/- to Rs.8000/- ie., stage - II to Stage - III in the light of G.O.No.350 of 2009 with effect from 13.07.2017 onwards.
2.Counter affidavit has been filed by the respondents. Admittedly, the petitioner's representation prior to the filing of this Writ Petition was not considered by the respondents. 3.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation seeking for the relief sought for in this writ petition is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2/5
4.Since the representation of the petitioner is an old one, the petitioner is to be directed to give a fresh representation. 5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the petitioner to submit fresh representation to the second respondent seeking for grant of upgradation of academic pay from Rs.7000/- to Rs.8000/- ie., stage - II to Stage - III in the light of G.O.No.350 of 2009 with effect from 13.07.2017 onwards, within a period of two [2] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the second respondent shall pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the said representation within a period of twelve [12] weeks thereafter.
