PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to expedite the trial and to conclude the same in CC.No.622 of 2019 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tirunelveli in connection with the Crime No.21 of 2017 on the file of the 2nd respondent within a stipulated time by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.V.M.Jagadeesha Pandian For Respondents : Mr.K.Sanjai Gandhi Government Advocate (Crl.Side)

ORDER

This petition is filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tirunelveli to expedite the trial and conclude the same in CC.No.622 of 2019 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2.The petitioner herein is the victim in Crime No.21 of 2017, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 418 and 420 of IPC on 18.08.2017. After completing the investigation final report was filed before the concerned Court and now, it is stated to be pending.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) for the respondents would submit that due to the present pandemic, trial could not be commenced so far and now, summon has been issued. 4.Considering the nature of the offences that has been alleged, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Tirunelveli to expedite the trial process in CC.No.622 of 2019 and conclude the same, within a period of 6 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the aforesaid direction, this petition stands allowed.
