ORDER
Challenging the notice issued by the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai District, directing the petitioner to appear for an enquiry with regard to correction of some entry in the revenue records.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the District Revenue Officer has no power to issue enquiry notice with regard to correction of revenue records and apart from that, no particulars were given to the petitioner with regard to nature of corrections sought to be done in the revenue records.
3. This Court is of the view that since the impugned notice for enquiry has been issued by the District Revenue Officer in respect of making correction in the revenue records, the petitioner cannot maintain a writ petition. Therefore, the petitioner is directed to appear before the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai District and file his objection including the objection regarding jurisdiction of the District Revenue Officer to issue notice. The District Revenue Officer is also directed to furnish particulars to the petitioner with regard to the nature of correction sought to be made in the revenue records, before conducting the enquiry.
