PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent No.1 to give their necessary permission to conduct the temple function at Sri Mahakaaliamman Temple located at Trichy, Kothamangalam Subramaniyar Temple, wherein the petitioner and their village people have the customs to worship our god at every tamil month of Aadi Thiruvila from 13.08.2022 to 15.08.2022 by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 01.08.2022. ORDER

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to give necessary permission to conduct the temple function in Sri Mahakaaliamman Temple situated at Kothamangalam, Subramaniyar Temple street, Trichy, wherein the petitioner and their village people have the customs to worship our god at every tamil month of 'Aadi Thiruvila' from 13.08.2022 to 15.08.2022 by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 01.08.2022.

2.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that there are two rival groups for conducting the temple festival, by name Sri Mahakaaliamman Temple situated at Kothamangalam, Subramaniyar Temple street, Trichy. Therefore, the second respondent requested the Revenue Divisional Officer to conduct peace committe meeting and the said Revenue Divisional Officer has also fixed peace committee meeting to be held on 24.09.2022. 2 / 4

3.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 01.08.2022, subject to the result of the Revenue Divisional Officer enquiry to be held on 24.09.2022. 4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
