For Respondent : Mr.A.THIRUVADI KUMAR, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR BAIL Under Sec.439 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For bail in Crime No.837 of 2020 on the file of the Respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/A3, who was arrested on 16.07.2021 for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 395 and 397 I.P.C, in Crime No.837 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused extorted a cell phone and a sum of Rs.20,000/- from the defacto complainant, assaulted him with knife and caused injuries. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent and he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. He would further submit that the co-accused have been released on bail by the Court of Sessions. The petitioner is inside the prison from 16.07.2021 and hence, he prays for grant of bail.

CRL OP(MD). No.14244 of 2021 completed. He would further submit that apart from this case, the petitioner is having one previous case of similar in nature. 5.Though the co-accused have been released on bail, considering the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
