ORDER

This petition is filed seeking direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivakasi, to expedite the trial process in C.C.No.220 of 2018 and complete the same within a time frame as may fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner is A1 in C.C.No.220 of 2018 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivakasi, which was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(ii) of IPC r/w Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

3.Now the grievance of the petitioner is that even though the case has been registered in 2018, no progress has been made so far. Since the petitioner is working in a private concern, because of the pendency of this criminal case, he faces trouble. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.14251 of 2021 4.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the 1st respondent would submit that summon has been issued to the prosecution witnesses to be examined on 27.09.2021. 5.Considering the nature of offences, there shall be a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Sivakasi to complete the trial process within a period of 5 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. After disposing the same on merits, compliance report must be submitted to the Registry. 6.With the aforesaid direction, this petition stands disposed of.
