ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition, directing the respondents to issue patta to the petitioner for the land to an extent of 30 cents comprised in Sy.No.54/5 in Palanchirai Village in accordance with the law within a time stipulated by this Court. 2.According to the petitioner, he is said to have filed an application before the Tahsildar, Ramanathapuram Taluk for issuance of patta in respect of Sy.No.54/5 in Palanchirai Village, Keelakarai. Since the petitioner's village comes under https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the jurisdiction of the Tahsildar, Keelakari, the application has been transferred to the Tahsildar, Keelakarai Taluk and the same is pending. Sofar, no order has been passed, hence, he has filed the present writ petition.

3.Heard the learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents, who would submit that a direction may be issued to the second respondent, for considering the petitioner's application, within a time frame. 4.In the above circumstances, considering the fact that the application for issuance of patta is pending from 12.10.2015, the second respondent/Tahsildar, Keelakarai Taluk is directed to consider the petitioner's application, dated 12.10.2015 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
