ORDER:- This Criminal Original Petition coming on for orders on this day under the caption "for extension of time" and upon perusing the earlier orders of this Court dated 12.11.2019 and 26.07.2021 and requisition letter submitted by the Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court @ Magisterial Level, Karur, vide letter in D.No.444/22, dated 20.04.2022, this Court made the following order:- This matter is listed today under the caption 'for extension of time'.
2.It is seen from the records that this Court vide order, dated 12.11.2019, directed the learned Judicial Magistrate, Fast Track Court @ Magisterial Level, Karur, to complete the trial in C.C.No.566 of 2016 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of that order. Subsequently, at the instance of the learned trial Judge, six months further time was granted vide order, dated 26.07.2021. Now, the learned Judicial Magistrate, has sent a requisition, dated 23.04.2022, through the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Karur, seeking six months further time to dispose of the case.
3.In the letter, the learned Magistrate has stated that the regular Magistrate had been in Maternity Leave from 14.02.2022 and is only holding full additional charge from 14.02.2022. 4.Considering the reasons assigned, this Court is inclined to grant six months time as sought for by the learned Magistrate. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 1/2
