Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent to restore the domestic tariff in Service No.05435002143, for the petitioner's dwelling house situated in Door No.13/18, Agamudiyar East Street, Thiruppuvanam Pudur, Thiruppuvanam, Sivagangai District-630611 on the basis of representation petitioner, dated 28.07.2021. ORDER

Heard Mr.K.K.Kannan, learned Counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.Parameswari, learned Counsel for the respondents. Let me not enter into a detailed discussion on the facts as the learned Counsel for the respondent very fairly submitted that the grievance of the petitioner has been addressed. 2.The petitioner is a tenant at Door No.13/18, Agamudiyar East street, Thiruppuvanam Pudhur, Thiruppuvanam, Sivagangai District. There was a dispute between the petitioner and the land lord. In view of that, on representation given by the land lord, the electricity tariff was revised from 1A to 6. This meant that the petitioner had to pay electricity charges at Rs.11/- per unit. The petitioner was also directed to pay a sum of Rs.3,000/- towards electricity charges.

3.It is informed by the learned Counsel for the respondents that on 19.11.2021, orders have been passed revising the electricity connection back to 1A, which would mean that the petitioner would be entitled to free 100 units. 4.A direction had also been given to the concerned officials to refund the Rs.3,000/- back to the petitioner. 5.In view of these facts nothing further survives for adjudication. Hence, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
