ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.10.2016 claiming Rs.9,87,494/- for the work done by him as a contractor within the time stipulated by this Court. 2.According to the petitioner, he is an approved contractor and he did so many civil works for the respondent Corporation from the year 2009 and for the works done by him, from the year 2009 upto 2016, the respondent/Corporation did not pay the amounts. Hence, he made a representation to the respondent on 19.10.2016 requesting the respondents to pay the arrears amount. Sofar, no https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

order has been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.Heard the learned Standing Counsel, appearing for the respondents, who would submit that a direction may be issued to the respondents, for considering the petitioner's representation, within a time frame.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances, the second respondent/Chief Accounts Officer (General), Madurai City Municipal Corporation, Madurai is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, 19.10.2016 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
