ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to issue patta in her favour in respect of the property situated in Survey No.46/13 part, with an extent of 0.01.19 Ares, in Vazhavallan Village, Eral Taluk, Thoothukudi District, by considering her representation dated 19.02.2025.

2.Heard the arguments of Mr.I.Robert Chandrakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.According to the petitioner, she has been residing in the subject property by putting up a house for the past 50 years. On the strength of long possession, the petitioner submitted a representation before the respondent seeking issuance of patta. The same has not been considered till date. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, on written instructions, would submit that the representation of the petitioner is under active consideration and final orders will be passed within the time stipulated by this Court.

5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.02.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
