ORDER : The Court made the following order :- This petition has been filed for extension of time for compliance of the conditional order passed in Crl.O.P(MD).No.12547 of 2024 dated 02.08.2024.
2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Hon'ble Court passed an order in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.12547 of 2024 dated 02.08.2024 and this Hon'ble Court enlarged the petitioner on anticipatory bail. This petitioner was unable to execute the bond and not able to arrange sureties and produce before the concerned Court. For the said reason only, she is unable to comply the conditions imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.12547 of 2024 dated 02.08.2024. Hence, he prayed to extend the time period, by allowing this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent would submit that already this petitioner had filed a extension of time petition before this Hon'ble Court in Crl.M.P.(MD).No.12078 of 2024 in Crl.O.P(MD).No.12547 of 2024. This Hon'ble Court has allowed the said extension petition, further period of one week was granted to the petitioner to comply the conditions imposed in Crl.O.P. (MD).No.12547 of 2024 dated 02.08.2024. But, till date the petitioner has not taken 2/5
any steps to comply the conditions imposed in Crl.O.P.(MD).No.12547 of 2024 dated 02.08.2024. Now, after lapse of more than six months, this petitioner has filed this present extension petition without assigning any valid reasons. Therefore, he strongly raised objection to allow this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition.
4. It could be seen from the records that earlier this petitioner had filed a extension of time petition in Crl.M.P.(MD).No.12078 of 2024 in Crl.O.P(MD). No.12547 of 2024 and on 13.11.2024, this Court allowed the said extension petition and passed the following order;
'' 3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this petition is ordered and one week is extended from today to the petitioner to comply the condition as imposed by this Court, from the date on which, the order copy is made ready, failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail shall stand automatically dismissed.
4. It is made clear that no further extension of time will be granted.''
5. The petitioner did not take any steps to comply the said order. Now, after lapse of more than six months, this petitioner has filed this present extension petition that too without assigning any valid reasons, it shows the lethargic attitude of the petitioner.

6. Considering the above said facts and the strong objection placed on the side of the prosecution, this Court is not inclined to allow this petition.
7. Accordingly, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is dismissed. sd/- 01/07/2025 / TRUE COPY / /2025 Sub-Assistant Registrar ( C.S. I / II / III / IV ) Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai - 625 023.
