Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issue of a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the second respondent to produce person or body of the Petitioner's daughter namely Nandhini, daughter of Janahiraman, wife of Nithyanatham aged about 20 years, before this court and set her at liberty.

O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by R.PONGIAPPAN, J.) Alleging that the petitioner's daughter by name Nandhini, aged about 20 years, was found missing, the petitioner has given a complaint to the second respondent police. Even though an F.I.R has been registered in Crime No.814 of 2021, so far no action has been taken by the second respondent to secure the detenue. Hence, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, Mr.S.Ravi, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State, on instructions would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the second respondent police has registered an F.I.R. in Crime No.814 of 2021 and the initial investigation reveals that the petitioner's daugher eloped with one Vijayakumar, S/o.Veerappan, who is a neighbour and the whereabouts is not known and the second respondent police is taking steps to secure the detenue. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
H.C.P.(MD)No.1418 of 2021 3.Considering the fact that already an F.I.R. was registered, the second respondent police is directed to proceed with the investigation and secure the detenue as expeditiously as possible and produce before the concerned Judicial Magistrate. On such production, the concerned Judicial Magistrate is directed to pass suitable orders regarding the custody of the detenue, in accordance with law.
4.With the above directions, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
