For Petitioner : Mr.T.Lenin Kumar For R1 & R2 : Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (Crl.Side) O RDER This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent Nos.1 and 2 police to give protection to the petitioner.

2.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent No.3 is the wife of the petitioner and the respondent Nos.4 and 5 are the sons of the respondent No.1, who have thrown the petitioner out of their house and still are harassing the petitioner for want of his pension and other benefits. The petitioner has filed an application before the police under Rule 21 of the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009, the police have not taken any action.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has submitted that the police went to the address given by the petitioner in his representation, but he was not available there and were informed that he has been residing in his friend's house.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes that he will instruct the petitioner to appear before the respondent police, so that the respondent police can process the petition filed by the petitioner and dispose of the same. 5.Accordingly, this Petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to appear before the respondent Nos.1 and 2 police within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such appearance, the respondent police are directed to dispose of the petitioner's application within a period of two weeks thereafter.
