ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the 1st and 2nd respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 21.05.2026 and 08.06.2026 and also to ensure the continue police production to the petitioner's husband as per the order passed by this Court in Crl.A.(MD)No.79 of 2026 as well as the communication issued by the first respondent dated 22.04.2026.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's husband is a practising Advocate. He has previously served as Government Advocate, representing the State in several highly sensitive criminal matters, including cases involving terrorism and issues of grave public importance. He further submits that considering the nature of the cases handled by the petitioner's husband, there is a persistent threat to his life and the safety of his family members. Consequently, police protection has been granted periodically. However, the petitioner now anticipates that this police protection is likely to be withdrawn soon. In this regard, representations were submitted to the respondents on 21.05.2026 and 08.06.2026, however the same have not been considered so far and therefore the present petition is filed. 2/4

3. Taking into account the facts and circumstances and the nature of representations made by the petitioner, this Court hereby directs the respondents to continue providing police protection to the petitioner's husband and his family members, without default, as provided earlier.
