This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to respondents to pay a compensation of Rs.20,00,000/- for the death of the third petitioner's husband namely Pon Irulappan S/o.Paramasivam, aged about 32 years, in view of the petitioners' representation dated 21.04.2023 within the stipulated time.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners have already sent a representation on 21.04.2023 seeking to pay a compensation of Rs.20,00,000/- for the death of the third petitioner's husband namely Pon Irulappan S/o.Paramasivam, aged about 32 years. Since the said representation was not considered till date, the petitioners have filed this Writ Petition.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1, 3 and 6 would submit that the representation of the petitioners dated 21.04.2023, would be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the above, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioners dated 21.04.2023, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
