O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present Writ Petition is to direct the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.11.2020.

2. According to the petitioner, he has completed degree in St.Joseph College of Engineering and he registered in the District 1/3

Employment Exchange. The fourth respondent issued notification in the month of November 2019 calling for direct recruitment for the post of Office Assistant. Accordingly, the petitioner has applied to the post of Office Assistant on 25.11.2019. On 04.11.2020, the petitioner attended the interview and the certificate verification has also been completed and thus, he is qualified to the post of Office Assistant. when that being so, the Government issued G.O.(Ms) No.248, Finance Department, dated 20.05.2020 stating that, considering the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation and there is a compelling need to regulate expenditure on emoluments, the Government directed that there shall be a total ban on creation of new posts in all Departments. Hence, he has filed a representation before the fourth respondent on 09.11.2020. Since the same has not been considered so far, he has filed the present Writ Petition.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submits that the representation of the petitioner dated 09.11.2020 has been considered and a rejection order came to be passed in Na.Ka.No.3326/2019/A1 dated 20.11.2020 on the ground that the petitioner is not eligible and the copy of the same has been produced before this Court.

4. Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
