ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the respondents not to erect electric pole and lay electric line in the petitioner's patta land in survey No.89/7 corresponding survey Nos. 89/7, 89/7, 89/7 and 89/7 of Puduvayal Village, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 16.06.2025.

2. The writ petition is disposed of at the time of admission after dispensing with notice on the second respondent as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed.

3. The specific case of the petitioners is that 12feet road has been gifted by the petitioners in respect of which the petitioners have the patta. It is submitted that if the poles are erected on the 12 feet road, which is the main access to the property of the respective petitioners, the movement of the vehicle will be hampered.

4. The learned Standing Counsel for the first respondent submits that the petitioners' representations dated 12.06.2025 and 16.06.2025 will be considered and disposed of on merits within a period of four weeks.

Recording the above submission, the first respondent is directed to consider and pass appropriate orders on the petitioners' representations dated 12.06.2025 and 16.06.2025 on merits within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Since the 12feet road is narrow, the first respondent shall also consider the possibility of providing undergound capable connection for the power.
