This Writ of Mandamus has been filed, seeking a direction to the respondents to pay family pension to the petitioner along with the arrears , based on her representation dated 05.04.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.
3.The petitioner's husband by name L.Boominathan, who was working as a Conductor in the second respondent corporation, has got voluntary retirement on 30.09.2013 and died on 22.10.2013. Therefore, the petitioner, approached the second respondent to pay family pension. As no action was taken, she made a representation along with relevant documents to the respondents. Again on 05.04.2016, she made another representation. Despite repeated representations by the petitioner, requesting to disburse arrears of retirement benefits, no action has been taken by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
respondents. Hence, this writ petition has been filed. 4.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that it is agreeable for the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.04.2016 and to pass orders.
5.Accordingly, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.04.2016 and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.The Writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
