directing the respondents to issue identity card and certificate to do business and restrain the respondents from dispossessing the petitioners' members (as stated in the schedule) from their place from doing their business (hawkers) fruits, vegetables and flower shop etc., in the area of Sivagangai Town, Sivagangai District of food shop, tender coconut shop, tea stall, fruits, vegetables, petti shop, etc., in Government Hospital area Government Medical College area in Sivagangai District.
For Petitioner : Mr.Haja Mohideen (In both petitions) For Respondents : Mr.S.Kumar, (In both petitions) Additional Government Pleader for R.1, R.3 and R.4 Mr.P.Srinivas for R.2 ***** COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed by the petitioner to issue a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue identity card and certificate for the petitioners' members, to do their business and forbear the respondents to dispossess them, from the Government Hospital area and Government Medical College area in Sivagangai District.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on all sides.
3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that some of the petitioners' members in these cases were included in the list of street vendors and accordingly, necessary identity cards have also been issued to them.
4. On the other hand, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that some of the petitioners' members have not been considered till date for issuing identity cards.
5. Such being the case, to give quietus, the respondents are directed to consider the claim of the petitioners' and take necessary decision, in this subject matter within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. These writ petitions are disposed of as above. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
