[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ on hand has been instituted for a mandamus forbearing the respondents from closing the pathway which is in existence in S.Nos.931/4 and 1015 of Pudhur Village, Vedasanthur Taluk, Dindigul District without providing any alternative pathway on the southern side of the above land in S.Nos.931/4 and 1015.
2. The learned Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the first respondent, on instructions, would submit that survey was conducted in the presence of the petitioner by the competent authority and it was found that the land belongs to the Police Department of the Tamil Nadu Government.
3. In view of the above, the relief as such sought for cannot be granted.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
