Prayer: Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to include the petitioner bothers name Ajmeer Ali in the Petitioners Family Card (Smart Card No.333999604126) by considering the petitioners representation dated 15.04.2026 and pass such further or other orders as this Honble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and thus render justice.

ORDER

The writ petition is filed for a mandamus uh to include the petitioner's brother name namely Mr.Ajmeer Ali in the petitioner's family card bearing (Smart Card No.333999604126) by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.04.2026.

2. Upon hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and perusing the material records of the case, the grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner's brother, upon his marriage, had obtained a separate ration card. Subsequently, since the marital relationship failed, the petitioner's brother's name was removed from the said family card, and he now wishes to reunite with the petitioner's family. Therefore, when a request has been made by duly producing the removal from the subsequent ration card, the prayer is not acceded to and therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.

3. The learned Government Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the application itself is made by the sister and if the brother's consent along with the due documents is produced, the same will be considered in accordance with law.

4. In view thereof, this writ petition disposed of on the following terms:- i. The petitioner's application dated 15.04.2026 shall be taken up for enquiry by the 1st respondent.

ii. Due notice to the petitioner shall be issued. iii. The petitioner shall be present before the Tahsildar or the Taluk Supply Officer as the case may be and produce such documents in support of her claim.

iv. If the presence of the brother is necessary, he can also appear before the authorities.

v. The presence of the brother through Video Conferencing can also be accepted and by duly marking that he is in Malaysia, the name inclusion can be considered with such conditions.

vi. The aforesaid excise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order. vii.No costs.
