ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representations dated 16.07.2024 and 14.06.2025 and to issue patta in his favour in respect of the property situated in Survey No.1/4, measuring 0.20.00 ares, in Vaarivayal Village, Karaikudi Taluk, Sivagangai District. 2.Heard the arguments of Mr.V.Rajiv Rufus, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.It is the case of the petitioner that the above said property was assigned in his favour on 21.05.2003 by the third respondent. He has
been in possession and enjoyment of the subject property from the date of assignment. The petitioner submitted the representations on 16.07.2024 and 14.06.2025, before the respondents, seeking issuance of patta. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that on the basis of the earlier representation submitted by the petitioner, the second respondent, in his proceedings in O.Mu.Aa3/6829/2021, dated 22.10.2021, called for a report from the third respondent, Tahsildar. The second respondent also issued notice to the petitioner calling for enquiry.
5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.06.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
