Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to calculate the price escalation on the capital materials for the Government works done by the petitioner under the Special Roads Programme-2020-21 Fund, as applicable under price escalation clause introduced under G.O.Ms.No.60, Public Works Department, dated 14.03.2008 in the light of petitioner's representation, dated 06.06.2024.

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to calculate the price escalation on the capital materials for the Government works done by the petitioner under the Special Roads Programme-2020-21 Fund, as applicable under price escalation clause introduced under G.O.Ms.No.60, Public Works Department, dated 14.03.2008 in the light of petitioner's representation, dated 06.06.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 2/5

06.06.2024 in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.60, Public Works Department, dated 14.03.2008 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
