This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to grant extension of time granted in the order made in Crl.OP(MD)No.19580 of 2018 dated 25.01.2019 on the file of this Hon'ble Court.

Prayer in Crl OP(MD)No.19580/2018:

Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to transfer the investigation in the above case in Crim No.331 of 2018 from the file of the inspector of Police, Thisaiyanvilai Police station to the Crime Branch, Criminal Investigation Department of any District within the state of Tamilnadu.

Order : This petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the earlier order passed in Crl.OP.No.19580 of 2018, dated 25.01.2019, the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Thiru.K.Suyambulinga Bharathi, Government Advocate(Criminal Side)for the Petitioners and of Thiru.B.N.Raja Mohamad, for the respondent, this Court made the following order:

This Petition has been filed before this Court under the caption "For extension of time".

2. It is seen from the records, while disposing the petition in Crl.O.P.No.19580 of 2018, this Court by an order dated 25.01.2019 directed the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tiruchendur to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

complete the investigation in Crime No. 331 of 2018 , within a period of three months. The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Tiruchendur has submitted that he has completed the major portion of the investigation and waiting for expert opinion and sought further period of six months time to complete the investigation in the said case.

Considering the above facts and circumstances of this case, this Court is inclined to grant three months time to complete the investigation and file the final report before the concerned court from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
