Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents 1 and 2 to bring the "Varatharaja Perumal Temple", in Mandapasalai Reddiapatti, Aruppukottai Taluk, Virudhunagar District and its properties in Survey Nos.265/1, 302/1A, 302/1B, 302/1C, 45/12A, 45/12B and 45/12C and a shop in Natham Survey No.555/5 under the control of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Tamilnadu within a time framed fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 1 and 2 to bring the "Varatharaja Perumal Temple", in Mandapasalai Reddiapatti, Aruppukottai Taluk, Virudhunagar District and its properties in Survey Nos.265/1, 302/1A, 302/1B, 302/1C, 45/12A, 45/12B and 45/12C and a shop in Natham Survey No.555/5 under the control of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Tamilnadu. 2/5

2. It is submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader for the Respondents 1 to 5 that the above prayer shall be considered by the Respondents 1 and 2 within a period of eight weeks.

3. Recording the same, the writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Respondents 1 and 2 to consider the above prayer within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order in the event of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department has not taken the said property under their control and pass orders in accordance with law and on merits.
