PRAYER: This Civil Revision Petition is filed under Section 227 of the Constitution of India, to direct the learned First Additional District and Sessions Judge, Thoothukudi to dispose of the suit in O.S.No.69 of 2020 on the file of the First Additional District and Sessions Court, Thoothukudi within a time fixed by this Court by allowing this Revision Petition.

ORDER

The learned counsel for the revision petitioner is the plaintiff before the trial Court in O.S.No.69 of 2020.

2. In a suit that is taken on file only this year, wherein not even a written statement has been filed, the learned counsel wants earlier disposal.

3. The revision petitioner is informed that a sizeable portion of this year is lost in Covid-19 and the normalcy in holding regular Courts has not been restored fully.

4. In these circumstances, this Court is not inclined to give any direction to the trial Court for the present. However, the learned trial Judge may try to ensure that atleast written statements are filed without undue delay. The revision petitioner is now required to approach the trial Court for an expeditious disposal of the suit citing any special reason for seeking early disposal by jumping the queue.

5. In the result, this Civil Revision Petition is allowed. No costs.
