ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.02.2020 and to give underground drainage service connection to the petitioner's house situated in Door No.4/250C, Om Nagar, Chinna Anuppanadi, Madurai District.

2. Mr.S.Chellapandian, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Heard Mr.K.Sudalaiyandi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Chellapandian, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

4. It is the case of the petitioner that she is the absolute owner of the aforementioned house. According to her, she has submitted an application on 17.02.2020 with the respondents seeking for grant of underground drainage service connection to her house. It is the case of the petitioner that till date, the said application has not been considered by the respondents. 5. The learned Standing counsel for the respondents on instructions, would submit that the respondents have no objection for considering the petitioner's application dated 17.02.2020 on merits and in accordance with law.

6. It is the case of the petitioner that she has complied with all the requirements for grant of underground drainage service connection in her favour.

7. No prejudice will be caused to the respondents, if the representation of the petitioner is considered on merits and in accordance with law.

8. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.02.2020 seeking for grant of underground drainage service connection for the petitioner's house situated in Door No.4/250C, Om Nagar, Chinna Anuppanadi, Madurai District and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

9. With the aforesaid direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
