Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. Challenging the order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Kulithalai, dated 22.09.2016, granting patta in favour of some third parties, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

3. Against the order passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, a revision lies before the District Revenue Officer under Section 13 of the Tamil Nadu Patta Passbook Act. Without availing the above alternative remedy, the petitioner cannot maintain a writ petition.

4. In the above circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner file a revision before the District Revenue Officer concerned, if he is so advised. No Costs.
