ORDER
The petitioner is a retired Police Constable. He underwent Cardiology and Cardio Thoracic Surgeries and a stent was planted in the year 2017. Therefore, he submitted a representation to the respondents seeking medical reimbursement of Rs.1,94,879/-. However, the same was not settled to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a Mandamus, directing the respondents to reimburse the medical expenses of Rs.1,94,879/-, which was incurred by him for Cardiology and Cardio Thoracic Surgeries.

Today, when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the respondent/Insurance Company submits that the the petitioner is entitled for maximum of Rs.1,26,360/- for any surgery as per G.O.Ms.No.171, Finance (Pension) Department, dated 26.06.2014, which is relevant at that point of time. However, considering the amount incurred by the petitioner, a sum of Rs.1,34,400/- was paid to the petitioner. The learned counsel has also relied on the package rate list for Tamil Nadu New Health Insurance Scheme and submits that for the ailment of Cardiology and Cardio Thoracic Surgeries and for planting of Pda Stenting, a sum of Rs.1,26,360/- is permitted. According to the Insurance Company, they have paid a sum of Rs.1,34,400/- to the petitioner beyond the prescribed limit and therefore, he is not entitled for more than that amount.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is entitled for a sum of Rs.2,00,000/-, however, he is not in a position to substantiate as to how he is entitled for Rs.2,00,000/-.

Counsel for the respondents that as per G.O.Ms.No.171, the petitioner is entitled for a sum of Rs.1,26,360/-, however, he was already paid a sum of Rs.1,34,400/- towards medical reimbursement, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
